В будущем  году, объём выпуска устройств отображения видеосигнала с LED-подсветкой составит в AUO около 15-20%. <br /><br />«На сегодняшний день продавцы так называемого первого эшелона, такие как Samsung или LG продвигают светодиодную подсветку для моделей с диагональю 40 дюймов и выше, акцентируя внимание покупателей на лучшем качестве изображения и энергосбережении таких ТВ», – сказал Пенг.<br /><br />«Однако, себестоимость небольших LED-телевизоров с диагональю экрана 19 и 24 дюйма стремительно приближается к себестоимости своих CCFL-собратьев. К примеру, 19-дюймовые дисплеи уже достигли паритета в этом отношении.<br /><br />В среднем же, разница в стоимости дисплеев, выполненных по новой и старой технологии разнится ныне в 1,8 раз. В 2010 году этот показатель должен снизится до 1,5 раз и менее.»
