В то время как Texas Instrument представила новый чип, позволяющий делать запись высокого разрешения на сотовых телефонах, компания On2 Technologies нашла в своем плотном графике на выставке в Барселоне время, для того, чтобы продемонстрировать новый RTL видео декодер с разрешением 1080p.

Модель Hantro 8190 поддерживает Adobe Flash, а также H.263, H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, VC-1б, Sorenson Spark и VP6 video форматы, а также устройство позоляет просматривать изображения JPEG с максимальным разрешением до 16 Mp! Согласно сообщениям On2, этот чип совмещается с процессорами ARM, MIPS, CPU, DSP и декодирует видео с разрешением H.264 1080p со скоростью 30 кадров в секунду с частотой 165 Mhz. В настоящий момент чип Hatro 8190 от On2 Technologies проходит лицензирование. Время покажет, чей продукт – Texas Instrument или On2Technologies- окажется эффективней на рынке.
