Комбинируя правое и левое изображения стерео видеокамеры, Дарби хочет разработать систему 3D информации, видимую на обычном экране без 3D очков. Что удалось добиться Полу Дарби можно увидеть, посетив <a href="http://www.darbeevision.com/products" target="_blank">галерею DarbeeVision</a>. Конечно, там нет глубокого стереоэффекта, но картинка выглядит явно привлекательной.<br /><br />Его цель сделать обычное видео более реалистичным таким, каким мы его видим в натуральном виде. Работа над этим проектом видео синтеза началась еще в 1972 году. Он обнаружил, что решение можно получить, если расфокусировать изображение одной из камер и вычитать его из резкого изображения другой камеры. Он также изучил основы теории работы мозга и принципы зрительного восприятия, после чего внес коррективы в технологию 3D синтеза. <br /><br />Сейчас Пол Дарби и его компания DarbeeVision подготовили продукт –  Visual Presence Processing Box для расширения глубины и детальности любого телевизионного 2D изображения. Следующим этапом развития технологии в наступающем году будет встраивание технологии в хай-энд дисплеи.
