Первый 31&#8243; 3D телевизор с подобной системой подсветки был суперпопулярным экспонатом сентябрьской выставки  IFA 2010.<br /><br />На CES 2011 будут представлены модели LW9500 и LW7700, которые представляют собой модернизированный на основе нано LED технологии вариант телевизоров серии  LX9500.<br /><br />Обе модели будут иметь функцию 3D и поддерживать технологию конверсии обычного изображения в 3D формат. В обе модели будут включены новые интернет сервисы LG. Известно, что в LW7700 будет использоваться LCD панель с частотой обновления изображения 240 Гц, тогда как у LW9500 этот показатель доведен до 480 Гц. Размер экранов по диагонали у обеих производимых моделей будет от 47 до 60 дюймов.<br /><br />Пока другие производители не поддержали нано инициативу LG и не представили ничего подобного в технологии подсветки, а компания LG за полгода увеличила диагональ нового типа тонких LCD панелей с 31 дюйма до 60.
