LG (также как Sony, Toshiba и Sharp) намеревается увеличить свою долю в общемировом производстве, сейчас LG занимает  10% телевизионного рынка, планирует довести этот показатель до 15%. Добиться поставленных целей компания собирается за счет той же стратегии, что позволила Samsung опередить Sony и стать явным лидеров по производству HDTV - производить качественные телевизоры широкого спроса по приемлемой стоимости.<br /><br />Саймон Канн - официальный представитель компании LG на IFA 2010 заявил о грядущем снижении цен на телевизоры бюджетного уровня. За счет чего должен вырасти общий объем продаж,  В тоже время, такая ценовая политика не коснется топовых моделей, что негативно сказалось бы на имидже фирмы.<br /><br />Если в прошлом году LG удалось реализовать 17 млн. телевизоров, то в этом планируется продать уже 25 млн. штук, а в следующем, 2011 году, достигнуть показателя 35 млн. 3D телевизоров, из общего объема продукции,  в текущем году будет произведено 3-4 млн., а в 2011-ом уже 10 млн.  штук.
