Удвоившееся к концу 2010, в сравнении с 2009 годом, количество продаж Blu-ray плееров продолжает расти и достигнет в текущем году (по сведениям от исследовательского агентства ABI) 62,5 млн. штук. Если в 2009 году Blu-ray плееры имели только 7% владельцев телевизоров в Северной Америке,  то в текущем году этот показатель составит уже 18%.<br /><br />Эта оценка интересна не только сама по себе, но и представляет часть общей картины продаж на сегодняшнем рынке, - заявил  аналитик компании Mike Inouye. Уверенный рост продаж данного продукта подчеркивает общую тенденцию на потребительском рынке электроники. Новые модели стационарной техника быстрее воспринимаются покупателем, в сравнении с портативными устройствами. Так в настоящее время наблюдается спад продаж игровых приставок и портативных плееров, цифровые фоторамки имеют средние темпы роста продаж; в Северной Америке и Японии наблюдается спад продаж цифровых камер, хотя в остальном мире они продолжают медленно расти.<br /><br />
