Однако оказалось, что встраивание Android влечет за собой необходимость использования в телевизорах микросхем партнера Google – компании Intel. Что приводит, по мнению руководства Panasonic, к значительному и неоправданному удорожанию телевизоров компании.<br /><br />Сейчас отделение Panasonic в Осаке (Япония) разрабатывает фирменный веб броузер для удобного доступа к различным ресурсам в интернет.<br /><br />Несколько ранее отказался сотрудничать с Google  в проекте Google TV крупнейший производитель телевизоров – Samsung, заявив, что будет развивать собственный проект интернет TV. Сейчас в Google TV наряду с Google и Intel участвует из крупнейших телепроизводителей лишь Sony (третье место по объему производства HDTV).<br />
