На проходившей в начале января выставке CES 2010 от крупнейшей американской телерадиовещательной корпорации DirecTV был показан новый тип видеоаппаратуры - своеобразный домашний видео сервер HR24 DVR. Неизвестны пока ни стоимость, ни подробные характеристики такой видеосистемы, которая поступит в продажу уже в первом квартале этого года. Предполагается, что в новый цифровой аппарат кроме цифрового видеомагнитофона будет встроено от 3 до 8 тюнеров, к которым могут подключаться клиентские телеприставки. Таким образом, возможно будет в разных комнатах одного дома одновременно смотреть с HR24 DVR телепрограммы и видеозаписи. Возможно, что со временем производители телевизоров оснастят свои новые модели клиентскими приставками для непосредственного подключения к HR24 DVR.
