Даже рьяные сторонники трёхмерных технологий в домашнем кинотеатре в массе своей смотрят на перспективы скорой популяризации формата весьма и весьма скептически. Но только не президент компании Panasonic Фумио Оцубо. Согласно его прогнозам, повсеместное распространение 3D произойдёт всего через 3-4 года. И за это время, инженеры компании приложат максимум усилий для внедрения трёхмерных технологий в телевизоры небольших диагоналей, портативные устройства, а также активно займутся разработкой 3D-систем, не требующих специальных очков.

Оправдать столь оптимистичные настроения нам крайне сложно, особенно с учётом сдержанной тональности публикаций в прессе и разного рода отчётов аналитических агентств, свидетельствующих о том, что на сегодняшний день подавляющее большинство потребителей не имеют ничего против 3D, но не готовы, при этом, переплачивать за него. В то же время, фактическое отсутствие трёхмерного контента и относительная дороговизна оборудования, на наш взгляд, отодвигают эру массового трёхмерного телевидения, как минимум, на 5-8 лет. Если вообще эта идея приживётся...
