Первый Blu-ray комбо-привод от Samsung

Компания Samsung Electronics объявила о скором появлении на рынке своего первого Blu-ray комбо-привода SH-B083, предназначенного для установки в пятидюймовый отсек персонального компьютера и оснащённого интерфейсом Serial ATA. Согласно паспортным данным, новый привод будет способен считывать информацию с Blu-ray на скорости 8х, с DVD — 16х и с CD — 40х. В свою очередь, запись может осуществляться на болванки CD и DVD. Устройство имеет две оптических системы, одна из которых используется для работы с Blu-ray, другая — с CD/DVD.

В SH-B083 используется технология SACT (Spherical Aberration Compensation Technology), призванная улучшить качество чтения плохо сбалансированных дисков. В комплект поставки войдёт программное обеспечение CyberLink’s TrueTheater.

«С увеличением популярности HD-контента в среде пользователей ПК, Blu-ray способен дать потребителю гораздо больше преимуществ, нежели традиционные технологии оптических дисков», — сказал директор по маркетингу и продажам Samsung Джон Су. «Новый комбинированный привод Samsung даст возможность его владельцу не только смотреть видео высокого разрешения на своём ПК, но и записывать HDTV-трансляции и результат съёмки с бытовой HD-камеры на DVD с помощью программного обеспечения Cyberlink Powerproducer».

На прилавках американских магазинов Samsung SH-B083 появится в следующем месяце. О его цене, увы, пока ничего неизвестно.
