Но всему на свете приходит конец, в том числе и успехам Sony на антипиратском поприще. Согласно слухам, появившимся в сети Интернет, на свет появился аппаратный мод-чип Belzar для PS3, позволяющий запускать нелицензионные копии игр, изданные для PS2 и PS3, воспроизводить Blu-ray любого региона и многое другое... Но главное, что чип будет работать в режиме невидимки (Stealth Mode). Другими словами, Sony будет крайне тяжело придумать ему противоядие.<br /><br />Обратная сторона медали — трудоёмкость процесса установки чип-мода. Нужно разобрать консоль, припаять 12 проводов от чипа к плате. И главное — нет никакой гарантии, что после этой операции, «патченная» PS3 будет нормально поддерживать последующие обновления прошивки и программные патчи от Sony.<br /><br />В настоящее время мод-чип тестируется, так что не стоит ожидать его появления «под прилавками магазинов» в ближайшем будущем. На наш взгляд, всё же лучше покупать лицензионные игры, чем устраивать себе подобные проблемы... Хлопотно это...
