Будучи частью модельного ряда Masters Series, проигрыватель будет без проблем воспроизводить, как новомодные форматы видео и аудио высокого разрешения, так и старые добрые CD и DVD. Как и предписано стандартом, новинка будет в полной мере поддерживать формат 1080p как для дисков Blu-ray, так и осуществлять преобразование «картинки» стандартного разрешения до Full HD «по цифре». Кроме того, заявлена совместимость с BD Live (правда, не уточняется, какой версии), наличие 7.1-канального выхода со встроенного декодера пространственного звучания, порта USB 2.0, мощного стального корпуса и литой алюминиевой передней панели.<br /><br />Среди особенностей модели отметим совместимость с платформой MHP (Multi-media Home Platform), благодаря которой плеер способен одновременно проигрывать видео высокого и стандартного разрешений, а также поддерживает систему «картинка-в-картинке».<br /><br />Проигрыватель NAD M56 поступит в розничную продажу в ближайшие дни. Его розничная цена составит 1999 американских долларов.
