Рост составил 14%. Статистика за второй квартал исчислялась исходя из совокупных продаж PDP-панелей такими производителями как Panasonic, Samsung SDI, LG Electronics и Orion, в то время как японское подразделение Hitachi и Pioneer полностью прекратили выпуск PDP еще в первом квартале этого года.<br /><br />Аналитки Displaybank, Джюси Хонг (Jusy Hong) отметил: «даже притом, что поставки панелей постоянно увеличиваются, темпы роста рынка остаются отрицательными, в сравнении с аналогичным периодом прошлого 2008 года».<br /><br />Примечателен и тот факт, что во втором квартале выросла доля рынка 50-дюймовых панелей, впрочем, как и сегмент дисплеев высокой чёткости. Так, «полтинники» отыграли 36 процентов рынка, что является историческим рекордом, сегмент же телевизоров высокой чёткости вырос до 29%.<br /><br />Если подразделять по производителям, то на первом месте оказался Panasonic c 43%, за ним следуют Samsung и LG с 31% и 26% соответственно. Именно этим трём производителям принадлежит практически 100% рынка плазменных дисплеев.<br /><br />Китайская компания COC запустила собственное производство PDP-панелей в марте 2009 года. Но на сегодняшний день проблема неэффективности производства всё ещё не решена. А это означает, что как минимум до конца года расклад на рынке PDP-панелей не изменится.
