В эту среду компания Kodak объявила о дополнениях, реализованных для вышедшего двумя неделями ранее мультимедийного проигрывателя Theatre HD Player. Как и следовало ожидать, нововведения коснулись отнюдь не аппаратной части, а программной. Отныне плеер способен воспроизводить HD-видео с портала YouTube, позволяет открывать интернет-страницы при помощи браузера (какого именно, не сообщается) и читать новости в формате RSS. Соответственно, для работы новых функций необходимо подключить плеер к сети Интернет при помощи стандартного корда RJ-45 или посредством беспроводного Wi-Fi.<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2009-07/1248951386_kodaktheater.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='А теперь попробуем поднять эту ... в воздух!' title='А теперь попробуем поднять эту ... в воздух!' /></div>Безусловно, Theatre HD Player способен воспроизводить фото и видео не только из мировой паутины, но и с локальных источников. Напомним, что новый проигрыватель Kodak поддерживает форматы DivX, XviD, H.264 и WMV-9, а после обновлением прошивки до версии 1.4, позволит просматривать видеоряд в формате 1080p, против 720p, доступных ранее.<br /><br />В новую прошивку добавлена функция Net Video, что позволит владельцу проигрывателя просматривать фильмы, доступные по VOD (видео по запросу). Новая система отображения и сортировки фотографий призвана значительно упростить сортировку отснятого материала по датам.<br /><br />Функция Cafe даст владельцу проигрывателя возможность создать свою индивидуальную заставку — экран, на котором будут отображаться: погода, новости, информация о пробках, показываться слайды.<br /><br />Впечатляющий функционал, не правда ли? Вопрос лишь в том, насколько всё это многообразие стабильно и быстро работает... Вкупе с «железом», конечно. Судя по компактным габаритам устройства и весьма высоким TDP буквально всех процессоров, используемых в подобных мультимедиа-плеерах, можно предположить, что на Theatre HD Player можно приготовить яичницу...
