Ранее выпустить чипы планировалось ближе к зиме. Речь идет о процессорах под кодовым именем Clarksfield. В указанное время появятся три первые модели таких процессоров — Core 2 Extreme XE (2 ГГц), Core 2 Quad P2 (1,73 ГГц) и Core 2 Quad P1 (1,6 ГГц), сообщает DigiTImes со ссылкой на источников в индустрии.<br /><br />Ожидается, что новые чипы будут содержать по 8 МБ кэш-памяти L1-L3, встроенный контроллер памяти и встроенный контроллер PSI Express 2.0. Помимо процессоров Core 2, к концу сентября будут выпущены Celeron SU2300 и Celeron 743, предназначенные для ультра-тонких лэптопов. <br /><br />До конца года Intel планирует приступить к выпуску процессоров под кодовым названием Arrandale — первых 32-нм процессоров, предназначенных для установки в ноутбуки.
