Центр Intel Visual Computing Institute будет находиться в университете земли Саар (Саарбрюкен, Германия). Инвестиции будут осуществляться поэтапно в течение 5 лет. <br /><br />Технологии графических решений предполагают анализ, обработку и отображение зрительной информации, которая помогает улучшить взаимодействие человека с компьютером и другими устройствами. <br /><br />Основной задачей нового центра станет содействие реализации программы Intel Tera-scale. В рамках этой программы изучаются возможности по использованию большого числа вычислительных ядер для того, чтобы получить более реалистичную графику и более высокую скорость обработки данных в целом. К концу 2009 г. штат центра будет включать около 10 ученых. В течение 5 лет число экспертов планируется увеличить до 50 человек. <br />
