Как и старшие модели линейки Dune, новая модель способна полноценно воспроизводить как с HDD, так и по локальной сети данные, соответствующие спецификациям DVD и Blu-Ray Profile 2.0, с полной поддержкой BD-J (Java), BD Live, меню, субтитров, переключения звуковых дорожек, и просмотра дополнительных материалов.<br /><br />Наличие у Dune HD Base  многоканального аудио выхода 7.1, и поддержка декодирования современных аудио форматов Dolby True HD, DTS, DTS HD HRA, DTS HD MA еще больше увеличивает отрыв от конкурентов, ни один из которых не может на данный момент похвастаться подобным функционалом.<br /><br />Так же в новой модели реализована характерная только для аппаратов линейки Dune возможность аппаратного апргейда.
