Ее главной особенностью является встроенная видеосистема GeForce 9400M. Она установлена в последнем поколении ноутбуков Apple и в несколько раз превосходит по производительности встроенную графику Intel. <br /><br />Кроме того, Ion содержит разъемы DVI и HDMI и поддерживает память стандарта DDR3. Но платформа не целиком состоит из компонентов Nvidia. В частности, ей требуется процессор Intel Atom. <br />
