Сделать это вынуждает тяжелая экономическая ситуация, сообщает японское издание Nikkei. Биржевые аналитики восприняли данное решение положительно — акции компании выросли на 8% до 176 иен — рекордного за последний месяц значения. <br /><br />Предполагается, что убытки Pioneer по результатам текущего финансового года составят 100 млрд иен ($1,1 млрд) против 78 млрд иен ($801 млн), прогнозируемых ранее. Продажи подразделения по выпуску бытовой электроники в III календарном квартале 2008 г. снизились на 30% по сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года. Упал спрос на плазменные телевизоры и DVD-плееры. <br /><br />Летом 2008 г. компания сообщила о решении прекратить выпуск собственных плазменных панелей и начале их закупки у Panasonic (в тот момент — Matsushita). Тогда Pioneer, для которого текущий финансовый год станет убыточным в четвертый раз подряд, от производства самих телевизоров не отказался. <br /><br />По данным DisplaySearch, продажи плазменных ТВ в 2009 г. вырастут на 5% по сравнению с годом ранее до 14,6 млн штук. Это существенно ниже, чем в 2008 г., когда продажи выросли на 24%. <br /><br />Помимо этого, Pioneer откажется от производства DVD-плееров. Задействованные в нем активы войдут в новое совместного предприятие с компанией Sharp. В Pioneer никак не комментируют эти новости, отвечая лишь, что рассматривают различные варианты реструктуризации уже почти год. После публикации новости Pioneer сделал заявление, что официальный анонс дальнейших изменений в структуре компании будет сделан в ближайший четверг, 12 февраля, вместе с публикацией отчета за III квартал 2008-2009 финансового года. <br /><br />Pioneer — известный производитель высококачественных плазменных телевизоров.
