Известно, что процессоры должны были получить по два центральных вычислительных ядра с возможностью обработки двух потоков инструкций и интегрированный графический контроллер. При производстве чипов Intel рассчитывала использовать 45-нанометровую технологию. <br /><br />Однако теперь сетевые источники сообщают, что вместо Havendale и Auburndale корпорация намерена выпустить гибридный чип Arandale. Этот процессор будет производиться по 32-нанометровой технологии и, следовательно, иметь меньшее энергопотребление. Ожидается, что Arandale появится на рынке в первом квартале следующего года. <br /><br />Согласно статистике Mercury Research, корпорация Intel в прошлом году контролировала 80,4% рынка микропроцессоров с архитектурой х86. Для сравнения: годом ранее этот показатель составлял 77,1%. Рыночная доля AMD за год сократилась с 22,1 до 18,5%, а компания VIA нарастила свою с 0,8 до 1,1%.
