Экраны телевизоров обеих серий закрыты сверхпрозрачным прочным стеклом, которое не искажает изображение и создает полный эффект присутствия. Толщина панелей 8-й серии составляет чуть больше одного дюйма. В Россию устройства будут поставляться с тюнерами цифрового наземного вещания DVB-T. <br /><br />Сообщается, что в представленных телевизорах реализованы фирменные технологии корпорации, улучшающие качество изображения. Так, система Ultra FilterBright позволяет получать реалистичную картинку за счет применения специальной черной пленки, которая устраняет блики, повышает контрастность, а также делает черный цвет на 50 процентов более глубоким, нежели в предыдущих моделях плазменных панелей. За качество отображения цветовых оттенков отвечает процессор Wide Color Enhancer 3. <br /><br />Новые телевизоры могут быть подключены к Интернету. Интерфейс для работы с онлайновыми ресурсами выполнен на базе виджетов, расположенных в нижней части экрана. Кроме того, предусмотрен порт USB, через который к телевизорам можно подсоединять видеокамеры, медиаплееры или внешние накопители (поддерживается воспроизведение файлов в форматах 3GPP, MKV, WMV9 и DivX). <br />
