Оснащенный семью 180-ваттными усилителями (собраны по схеме push-pull) TX-SR806 имеет пять входов и один выход интерфейса HDMI v.1.3a, аудио-ЦАП высокой разрядности, новую цепь тонкомпенсации THX Loudness Plus и систему автокалибровки Audyssey MultEQ. Имеется видеопроцессор Faroudja DCDi Cinema, способный довести разрешение любого входного сигнала до 1080р. Два аудиопроцесора Aurelis компании Texas Instruments декодируют любые цифровые аудиосигналы, включая Dolby TrueHD и DTS-HD Master Audio. Ресивер предназначен для озвучивания помещений объемом 1000 м3 и более — расстояние от АС до слушателей может превышать 4 м. Модель TX-SR706, имея несколько меньшую мощность (7х100 Вт), в остальном не сильно отличается от старшего собрата: четыре HDMI-входа и один выход, полный набор декодеров, автокалибровака Audyssey MultEQ.
