Samsung представил самый большой OLED-дисплей

Компания Samsung представила светодиодную панель с длиной диагонали 40 дюймов. Панель имеет физическое разрешение 1920 x 1080 пикселей (Full HD), контраст 1000000:1 и покрывает 107% цветового диапазона NTSC. Яркость составляет 200 кд/кв. м (600 кд/кв. м – пиковая). Толщина панели равна 8,9 мм. В настоящий момент панель демонстрируется на выставке FPD International в Японии, пишет Tech On! Возле панели весит вполне заслуженная фраза: "Самая большая в мире".

Электрический слой панели изготовлен с применением низкотемпературной поликремниевой технологии, а фосфоресцирующий слой нанесен методом химического напыления. Как рассказали в Samsung, такая технология позволяет изготавливать панели массово, но их диагональ не может превышать 31 дюйм. Представленная на выставке панель является опытной. "Массовое производство таких панелей пока невозможно".

Впервые о разработке 40-дюймовой панели на светодиодах компания заявила в 2005 г. Тогда ее разрешение составляло 1280 x 800 пикселей. Ее контраст также был существенно ниже: всего 5000:1 вместо миллиона к одному теперь.

В компании не сообщают, поступит ли разработка в коммерческое производство. Ранее в этом году Samsung показывала OLED-панели с длиной диагонали 14 и 31 дюйм.
