Как бы там ни было, ниже приводим мнения и оценки критиков.<br /><br />IGN (95/100): «Resistance 2 – это одна из тех немногих игр, которой удалось превзойти своего предшественника по всем возможным направлениям. Одиночная кампания  эпична по своему масштабу и по сюжету, который сам по себе достоин отдельного внимания».<br /><br />Gameplayers (90/100): «Resistance 2, определенно достоин потраченных денег. Если вы играете в сети, то знайте, что, купив игру, вы получите возможность играть в течение года, не беспокоясь ни о чем. Если этого недостаточно, игра также предлагает мощную одиночную кампанию. В том, как сделана игра, нет ничего чрезвычайно элегантного или гениального: это чистой воды экшен-шутер, который делает ставки на отличный сюжет и свирепый арсенал».<br /><br />1UP (B+): «Прежде всего, Resistance 2 – это экстремально грамотно собранный FPS, с усовершенствованной одиночной кампанией, с отличным, конкурентоспособным мультиплеер режимом, и чертовски отточенным кооперативом. Я не буду заходить так далеко, говоря, что это PS3 шедевр, но Resistance 2 – определенно, один из лучших PS3 эксклюзивов, в которые мне удалось поиграть».<br />
