Многие сотрудники сайта Joystiq придерживаются мнения, что вариация игры Resident Evil 4 для Wii получила лучшую реализацию, как мультиплатформенный тайтл. Вот почему мы были сильно разочарованы, когда было объявлено, что Resident Evil 5 не выйдет для консоли Nintendo. В соответствии со словами продюсера игры - Masachika Kawata, Wii порт RE5 не имеет даже далекой перспективы выхода. Потому как, игра обзавелась очень серьезными графическими усовершенствованиями, по сравнению с предыдущей частью, «подобный уровень картинки невозможно сделать на PS2 или Wii» - объяснил Kawata, в недавнем интервью для GameTrailers.

Но поклонники Nintendo пусть не унывают – в более позднем интервью все тому же GameTrailers, другой продюсер - Jun Takeuchi, сказал, что Capcom с удовольствием продолжит Resident Evil франчайз для Wii, хотя «такого рода пришествие может состояться через пару лет».
