Matsushita переименовалась в Panasonic

Японская корпорация Matsushita Electric Industrial с 1 октября 2008 г. сменила свое название, существующее на протяжении 90 лет, на более известное в мире Panasonic.

Ранее Matsushita использовала бренд Panasonic для обозначения потребительской электроники: телевизоров, видеокамер, телефонов и т.д., выпускаемых на своих заводах. В компании полагают, что, выступая под более узнаваемым именем, смогут завоевать более высокую популярность на внешних рынках.

Напомним, что информация о смене названия появилась еще в начале этого года.

Matsushita была основана в 1918 г. и носит имя своего основателя Коносукэ Мацуситы. Matsushita, наиболее известная своими торговыми марками Panasonic, National, Technics и Quasar, является мировым лидером в разработке и производстве бытовой электроники и электронного оборудования для широкого круга потребителей, бизнеса и промышленности.

Согласно опросу среди потребителей электроники в Японии, техника Panasonic для них предпочтительнее, чем компании Sony, популярность которой снизилась.
