Для производства 45- и 32-нм полупроводников применима современная техника литографии, однако для дальнейшей миниатюризации транзисторов данный способ не подходит. Корпорация IBM совместно с Mentor Graphics и Toppan Printing объявила об успешном создании нового метода, названного как «математическое масштабирование». Данный метод позволяет изменять форму технологических трафаретов при помощи математических вычислений и специального программного обеспечения. <br /><br />Не исключено, что с помощью данной техники IBM сможет обогнать Intel и выпустить на рынок 22-нм микросхемы раньше. Напомним, что Intel также работает над 22-нм технологией. Нынешние процессоры корпорации выпускаются на базе 45-нм техпроцесса, в 2009 г. Intel планирует перейти на 32-нм топологию и на 22-нм – в 2011 г. <br /><br />Напомним, что первая в мире 22-нм микросхема была изготовлена IBM и продемонстрирована<br /><br />и в прошлом месяце.
