На прошедшей в Берлине выставке IFA2008 компанией Philips были представлены телевизоры Aurea 2 с диагоналями экрана 37 и 42 дюйма.

Корпус Aurea 2 выполнен в соответствии с концепцией Philips Design Collection, которая подразумевает скругленные очертания и сияющие глянцем поверхности. Кроме того, если в первой Aurea ЖК-дисплей и обрамляющая его рамка имели между собой технологический зазор, то сейчас вся фронтальная панель телевизора представляет собой абсолютно плоскую гладкую поверхность.

ЖК-экран новинки отображает до 2250 триллионов цветов, а динамическая контрастность 30000:1 обеспечивает глубокую и четкую детализацию черного цвета. В Aurea используется технология 100 Hz Clear LCD, позволяющая достичь времени отклика матрицы в 2 миллисекунды, поэтому изображение остается четким даже при динамичной смене кадров.

Новинки оснащены системой подсветки Ambilight Spectra, которая отслеживает экранные цвета и действие, формируя вокруг телевизора сбалансированную световую атмосферу при помощи передней прозрачной панели Active Frame и 150 светодиодов. Акустическая система телевизора состоит из шести скрытых динамиков, интегрированных по периметру телевизора.

Aurea 2 появится в Европе уже в сентябре 2008 года.
