Телевизоры были продемонстрированы на выставке потребительской электроники IFA, проходящей в эти дни в Берлине. <br /><br />Увеличение частоты обновления экрана позволяет избавиться от нежелательных шлейфов и размытия изображения при отображении динамичных сцен. Изначальная частота обновления 60 Гц была увеличена в современных моделях телевизоров вдвое. Технология Motion Flow 240Hz вставляет между каждым кадром не по одному, а по три дополнительных кадра, что и обеспечивает более высокую плавность изображения. <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-08/1220119980_sonyw1_082808.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Sony повышает частоту обновления экрана своих ТВ' title='Sony повышает частоту обновления экрана своих ТВ' /></div><br />Линейка Sony Bravia W1 Series состоит из двух моделей телевизоров с диагональю экрана 40 и 46 дюймов, поддерживающих полное разрешение высокой четкости Full HD и скорость воспроизведения фильмов 24 кадра в секунду. Контрастность изображения составляет 3000:1, углы обзора 178 градусов. Телевизоры оборудованы цифровым тюнером, процессором Bravia Engine 2, тремя HDMI, компонентным входом, интерфейсами USB, Ethernet и S-Video. <br /><br />Продажи новинок в Японии стартуют в ноябре 2008 г. Стоимость 40-дюймовой панели составит $2660, 46-дюймовой – $3700. <br /><br />Кроме того, была представлена линейка Z4500, предлагающая частоту обновления 200 Гц.
