AMD выускает новые процессоры

Компания AMD выпустила два новых процессора Phenom и столько же — Athlon. Новые чипы предназначены для настольных систем и входят в состав платформы AMD Business Class, анонсированной весной 2008 г.

Среди новых процессоров: четырехъядерный AMD Phenom X4 9750B с тактовой частотой 2,4 ГГц и трехъядерный Phenom X3 8750B (2,4 ГГц) — оба с максимальным энергопотреблением 95 Вт. Семейство Athlon пополнилось следующими моделями: X2 5600B (2,9 ГГц) и X2 4850B (2,5 ГГц). Первый потребляет не более 65 Вт, второй — не более 45 Вт.

Новые процессоры, как ожидают в AMD, помогут укрепить позиции вендора на рынке бизнес-ПК. По данным IDC на II квартал 2008 г., компании AMD принадлежало 19,7% рынка компьютерных микропроцессоров, в то время как ее главному конкуренту, компании Intel, — 79,7%. При этом сектор настольных рабочих станций и серверов разделился следующим образом: 13,8% (AMD), 86,2% (Intel). Несмотря на то, что многие компании начинают переходить на мобильные ПК, сектор настольных систем по-прежнему остается важным и прибыльным.

Анонс пришел спустя несколько дней после того, как Intel снизила цены на некоторые свои процессоры. Компания Intel в свою очередь сделала это в преддверии выхода новых ЦПУ на архитектуре Nehalem.

Стоимость новых процессоров AMD неизвестна. По сообщению TG Daily, она может быть на 10–20% выше по сравнению с существующими решениями. Новые процессоры относятся к третьей ревизии, что означает отсутствие ошибки TLB, приводящей к сбоям в приложениях.
