Прошло слишком много времени со дня первого упоминания о социальном проекте Home, многие потеряли веру в то, что это начинание компании Sony найдет свое воплощение.

И вот, появилась информация, что японское подразделение Sony начинает закрытое бета-тестирование PlayStation Home. Компания планирует привлечь 10,000 игроков (строго старше 18 лет) в виртуальный мир: первые бета-тестеры ступят на виртуальную землю в конце августа.
Какой-либо информации о бета-тестировании на территории других регионов, пока не сообщается, известно лишь, что публичное (читай, открытое) тестировании всё же планируется начать позже в этом году.

Счастливчикам, которых допустят к бета-версии проекта, будет доступен 3d-мир home, а так же некоторые игры из локации под названием «Namco museum», там можно поиграть в такую классику, как Pac Man и другие проекты японской студии.

В японском Playstation Store появилась своего рода петиция, заполнив которую, вы можете заявить о своём желании поучаствовать в бета-тестировании.
