Buffalo представили самый быстрый в мире Blu-ray рекордер с возможностью записи на скорости 8x. <br />Все бы хорошо, да вот только Ассоциация Blu-Ray пока не представила этот формат – самой быстрой из заявленных скоростей до сих пор является 6x. <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-07/1216948915_br-816su2.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Buffalo опережает планы Ассоциации Blu-ray ' title='Buffalo опережает планы Ассоциации Blu-ray ' /></div><br />Тем не менее, Buffalo обещают начать продавать новый рекордер уже в следующем месяце (на территории Японии), в вариантах с интерфейсами USB 2.0 и eSATA (модель BR-816SU2), а так же внутренний привод с интерфейсом SATA BR-816FBS. Отмечается, что заявленная скорость 8x, достигается лишь при записи однослойных дисков BD-R, для остальных носителей – двухслойные BD-R, BD-RE и диски LTH BD-R – скорость будет ограничена значением 2x. CD и DVD будут «прожигаться на максимально-возможных скоростях: 16x  в случае DVD±R и 48x/24x в случае CD-R/RW. <br /><br />Оба вариант привода будут комплектоваться ПО Cyberlink  PowerDVD 7. Рекомендованные цена на внешний привод составит $435, на внутреннюю $380.<br />
