Компания Philips готовит к массовой коммерческой эксплуатации свои новые технологии для вывода трехмерных изображений. Для просмотра объемного изображения с помощью технологий Philips зрителю не придется надевать специальные стереоочки.

Решения Philips из серии Philips WOWvx (wow-эффект плюс Visual eXperience) основаны на двух форматах создания и вывода стереоизображения – стандартном 2D-plus-Depth (добавление глубины к обычному двумерному изображению) и расширенном Declipse (антоним Eclipse – «затмение»).

Самое интересное в технологии 2D-plus-Depth – это ее обратная совместимость. Другими словами, эта технология позволяет добавить объем в любые передачи и фильмы, которые изначально были сняты в обычном плоском формате.

Стереоскопические изображения известны уже около 150 лет, но только сейчас у человечества появился шанс получить массовую, недорогую и удобную в обращении систему трансляции и воспроизведения трехмерных изображений. Технологии Philips серии WOWvx делают этот момент близким, как никогда, отмечает techradar.com.
