Крупнейшие японские производители электроники, компании Sony, Toshiba и Matsushita (Panasonic) объявили о сотрудничестве в области разработки больших OLED-панелей, предназначенных для установки в светодиодные телевизоры. Указанные компании примут участие в совместном проекте, инициированном японским правительством, сообщает Reuters. <br /><br />Проект подразумевает разработку панелей с длиной диагонали 40 дюймов и больше. Другие подробности будут сообщены позже. <br /><br />Напомним, что в настоящий момент существует лишь один светодиодный телевизор (то есть телевизор, изображение в котором выводится при помощи OLED-панели), выпущенный корпорацией Sony в ноябре прошлого года. Устройство имеет 11-дюймовую панель и стоит около $2000. <br /><br />Компания Toshiba отказалась от выпуска OLED-телевизоров до 2011 г. в связи с тем, что для этого требовались большие вложения. Panasonic рассматривает возможность производства таких телевизоров, но никаких официальных сроков пока не сообщает. По данным различных источников, компания может выпустить 37-дюймовый OLED-ТВ уже в течение трех лет, однако в Panasonic эту информацию опровергают.<br />
