С помощью данного альянса Nvidia попытается убедить Intel разрешить использовать ее чипсет в платформе Intel Centrino Atom, сообщает DigiTimes со ссылкой на производителей персональных компьютеров. <br /><br />Речь идет о наборе системной логики MCP73 IGP, который имеет сравнительно низкое энергопотребление и идеален для использования в карманных интернет-гаджетах. В случае если Intel согласится на данный чипсет, Nvidia по условиям соглашения прекратит дальнейшее сотрудничество в данной области с тайваньской компанией Via Technologies. По сообщению источников, это окажет негативное воздействие как на Via, так и на компанию Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS). <br /><br />В Nvidia и Via комментировать информацию отказались. <br /><br />Напомним, корпорация Intel первая разработала платформу для мобильных ноутбуков и интернет-устройств, назвав ее Intel Atom Centrino.
