Sony выпустит выпустит OLED-телевизор 27"

Японская корпорация Sony объявила о своих планах выпустить в течение следующих 12-и месяцев новый светодиодный (OLED) телевизор, который будет иметь экран с диагональю 27 дюймов, сообщает The Register Hardware с отметкой о том, что его стоимость, вероятно, будет высокой.

Главный исполнительный директор Sony Говард Стрингер (Howard Stringer) заявил на конференции в США, что в мае 2009 г. его компания представит 27-дюймовую версию телевизора. Он не сообщил, в какой стране телевизор появится вначале и сколько он будет стоить, однако признался – и это совершенно неудивительно, - что телевизор будет стоить «дорого».

Первый и единственный в мире OLED-телевизор, изготовленный компанией Sony - XEL-1. Первоначально он появился в Японии, но теперь продается и в США. Его цена составляет $2500. И это притом, что одна аналитическая компания не так давно выяснила, проведя тест, что жизненный цикл панели в этом телевизоре вдвое меньше, чем заявляет Sony.

Впервые прототип 27-дюймовой светодиодной панели был показан компанией в январе, он имел разрешение Full HD и контрастность 1000000:1.
