Тайваньский производитель компьютерных комплектующих Asustek готовится подать судебный иск, в котором опровергнет высказывания Gigabyte Technology в адрес технологии Energy Processor Unit (EPU), которую компания Asustek внедряет в свои материнские платы. <br /><br />По словам Asustek, в преддверии выставки Computex одна из конкурирующих тайваньских компаний провела для азиатских журналистов пресс-конференцию, на которой в адрес технологии EPU, а также в адрес самой компании Asustek как производителя системных плат, были произнесены унизительные высказывания. По словам пресс-секретаря Asustek, некоторые из этих высказываний были опубликованы в Сети, а затем перефразированы другими изданиями. Как утверждают официальные представители Asustek, данная пресс-конференция была проведена компанией Gigabyte Technology. <br /><br />В пятницу, 16 мая, на сайте Asustek появилось официальное заявление, что в отношении Gigabyte Technology, а также других компаний, распространяющих данную информацию, может быть инициировано судебное разбирательство. Популярный ресурс Tom’s Hardware, к примеру, написал в одной из своих статей следующие слова: «Как вы можете этому верить? Все, что они [Asustek] говорят, является ложью», - отмечают в Gigabyte». По мнению Asustek, подобная информация может не только нанести серьезный урон репутации компании, но и вводит в заблуждение покупателей ее продукции. «Asustek сохраняет право подать в суд на отдельных людей, организации или корпорации, распространяющие такие сведения», - содержится в официальном заявлении компании. <br />
