Acer: BD-ноутбуки составят 10% поставок в 2008 году

Как уже сообщалось, Acer начнет активно продвигать «BD-ноутбуки» во втором квартале 2008 года. Президент Acer Taiwan, Скотт Лин (Scott Lin), отметил, что каждый шаг его компании направлен на то, чтобы ускорить выпуск и начать поставки ноутбуков, оборудованных оптическими приводами, поддерживающими стандарт Blu-ray.

Это будут, как ноутбуки, оборудованные большими экранами, так и действительно мобильные (небольшие и относительно недорогие) компьютеры. В увеличившемся до ~130 млн. единиц плане поставок мобильных ПК по всему миру, оборудованные BD-приводами устройства, займут около 10%.

Среди общего числа продукции «нестандартными» в плане привода и экрана будут всего 40000 мобильных ПК. Они будут оснащаться экраном диагональю 18,4" и приводом BD. Ещё 70000 штук ноутбуков будут иметь диагональ 16" и такой же тип оптического привода. Эти 110 тыс. ноутбуков будут отгружены компанией уже в этом месяце.
