Производитель заявляет о том, что новинки представляют собой особую категорию с уникальными характеристиками, такими как: режим работы 24х7, гарантия до 3 лет, экономичное энергопотребление (до 40% от "стандартного"), промышленное исполнение корпуса (ударопрочный металл или негорючий пластик, скрытые кнопки управления), возможности портретной ориентации экрана и объединения в видеостемы, встроенные аудиоколонки, поддержка HD, подключение по VGA и DVI и опциональный ТВ-тюнер.

Дисплей Philips BDL4631V/00 собран на матрице Super-IPS, поддерживает стандарт Full HD и обладает экраном с полноценным разрешением в 1920х1080 пикселей. Поддерживаются технология HDMI и технология защиты от несанкционированного копирования HDCP. Сенсор удаленного управления дисплеем, как и сами кнопки, можно контролировать и настраивать через интерфейс RS232. Функция масштабирования позволяет реализовать на базе модели BDL4631V/00 видеостену, размер которой может достигать 25 экранов (5 по горизонтали и вертикали). Угол обзора составляет 178 градусов.
На российском рынке модель Philips BDL4631V/00 и ее аналог BDL4231CS, отличающийся цветом, появятся во втором квартале 2008 года.
