Сегодня, когда все ожидают появления первых UHD Blu-ray плееров, подобная новинка никак не может стать серьезной инновацией. В плеере нет даже системы повышения разрешения до UHD. Но, очевидно, она не очень и нужна, потому что в телевизорах Samsung уже имеется мощный вариант такой системы. <br /><br />Samsung BD-J5900 поддерживает профиль BD 5.0, но требует добавления, как минимум, 1 ГБ внешней памяти, чтобы воспользоваться функцией BD Live. Обеспечена возможность видеообработки контуров с повышением детальности и снижением уровня шумов, а также предусмотрена возможность повышения разрешения DVD и SD видео до 1080p.<br /><br />Подключение к сети (Ethernet и Wi-Fi) обеспечивает доступ к Smart Hub (приложения Samsung, другие сервисы, социальные сети и т.д .), есть веб-браузер. Функция AllShare позволяет непосредственно на экране телевизора просматривать фотографии и видео с мобильного устройства (смартфон, планшет) .
