Что подчеркивает желание компании освоить новый вид продукции в максимально короткие сроки. Показанный плеер визуально был далек от готового изделия, компания тогда называла его Ultra HD проигрыватель Blu-ray дисков. <br /><br />Теперь, после согласования ассоциацией BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association)  предварительной спецификации для 4K Blu-ray дисков, выпуск первых 4K Blu-ray плееров, наконец, становится на шаг ближе к реальности.<br /><br />Хироюки Иваки, директор по глобальному развитию ТВ направления Panasonic, заявил, что он возлагает большие надежды на то, что 4K Blu-ray плееры Panasonic появятся в продаже к весне 2016 года, при условии, что к этому времени будут и 4K диски. Иваки отметил: "У нас были переговоры с Голливудом по ассортименту намечаемых к производству фильмов. Мы хотим быть первыми в выпуске плееров, но не хотели бы начинать их производство до выхода первых дисков с контентом".<br /><br />Иваки не исключает выпуск 4К плееров и до конца этого года, однако отмечает, что во многом это будет зависеть от окончательного согласования технической спецификации.
