Производители надеются за счет этого серьезно улучшить  ряд качественных показателей, в первую очередь - динамический диапазон воспроизводимой картинки, которая станет еще натуральнее, если воспроизводить соответствующим образом подготовленное видео  и фильмы.<br /><br />В модельном ряде своих телевизоров 2015 года Panasonic обеспечивает полномасштабную поддержку новой видео технологии HDR (High Dynamic Range), но у компании пока нет планов по внедрению аналогичной технологии Dolby Vision. Хироюки Иваки, директор Panasonic по глобальному развитию ТВ продуктов  заявил: "Мы отдаем приоритет технологии HDR и будем стремиться к тому, чтобы она стала отраслевым стандартом". При этом он подтвердил, что запущенные в производство 4K телевизоры Panasonic, не будут поддерживать Dolby Vision. Эта более сложная технология и она пока не востребована в моделях этого года.<br /><br />HDR обеспечивает повышенное качество изображения, которое можно будет также наблюдать на экранах телевизоров Sony, Samsung и LG. Panasonic подтвердил, что новые Ultra HD 4K телевизоры компании из серии CX800 и изогнутые из серии CR850 будут поддерживать потоковый контент в формате HDR, когда он станет доступен позже в этом году.<br /><br />В нынешнем году Panasonic уделяет повышенное внимание акустическим телевизионным системам. Новая встроенная акустическая система Panasonic дебютирует в премиум серии CX800. Sony уже приложила немало усилий для совершенствования звука в современных плоскопанельных телевизорах.
