Новость была недавно подтверждена на отраслевой конференции в Лондоне по проблемам Ultra HD. Представитель SES Майк Чандлер  отметил большой опыт накопленный компанией в развитии спутникового телевещания начиная с 90-х годов прошлого века. А также он утверждал, что передача 4К сигнала через интернет - это не лучший способ. "Спутник идеальный способ распространения 4K сигнала миллионам телезрителей по всему миру. Мы будем внедрять Ultra HD так же, как это сделали ранее с Full HD".<br /><br />Но в целом выступление было скорее в мрачных тонах. "На данный момент 4K более выглядит как показательное шоу"сказал он, отметив, что до сих пор для трансляции имеется ограниченное количество контента в 4K разрешении. "Контент это основа. При запуске HD было уже много доступного контента, но при этом потребовалось на самом деле 28 лет для полного внедрения формата. Хотя, сегодня новые телевизоры завоевывают рынок намного быстрее, чем это было с  форматом HD".<br />
