Новая модель использует лучшие системы и технологии прежней серии и имеет систему полного локального затемнения светодиодов подсветки.<br /><br />Новый ТВ флагман Panasonic CX850, очевидно, поддерживает Ультра HD и  будет доступен с 55 и 65 дюймовыми экранами в течение 2015 года, модели будут обозначаться TC-55CX850U и TC-65CX850U. CX850 имеет систему “Local Dimming Pro”, которая индивидуально управляет светодиодными зонами для увеличения контрастности и понижения уровня черного цвета. Поддерживается Studio Master Drive и 98% цветовой палитры DCI (90% для 55 дюймов).<br /><br />Среди новинок “Super Bright Panel”, которая позволяет повысить яркость, чтобы воспроизвести более выразительное изображение. Новый четырех ядерный процессор процессор Pro обеспечит видео обработку и масштабирование контента до 4К. <br /><br />Panasonic также представил новую Smart TV платформу на основе Firefox OS. Panasonic надеется, что его партнерство с Firefox позволит создать конкурентоспособную телевизионную систему. Новая  платформа Smart TV имеет обновленный пользовательский интерфейс, наряду с такими функциями, как голосовое управления, система подбора контента Xumo,  поддержка потоковых 4K сервисов, и многое другое. <br /><br />Panasonic CX850 будет доступен как TC-55CX850U и TC-65CX850U в США.
