Среди них и LG, которая представит свою новинку на январской выставке CES 2015.<br /><br />Источники подсветки ЖК панели на основе квантовых точек позволяют обеспеспечить расширенную цветовую палитру и повышенную насыщенность изображеия. Правда в действительности добиться всего этого можно лишь при наличии источников сигнала, в которые эти возможности заложены. <br /><br />Сегодняшние Ultra HD телевизоры не способны воспроизводить всю цветовую палитру стандарта Ultra HD, в соответствии с Rec.2020. Вместо этого, телевизоры и снимаемое видео по-прежнему находятся на уровне требований Rec.709, разработанных для контента Full HD. <br /><br />LG планирует выпустить новую серию Ultra HD телевизоров на основе квантовых точек в следующем году, сообщается в пресс-релизе компании. Компания заявляет, что фирменная технология квантовых точек "использует нано кристаллы, размеры которых варьируются от 2 до 10 нм". Каждая точка обеспечивает излучение цвета с заданной длиной волны, что и позволяет добиться высокой точности цветопередачи, расширяет цветовую гамму дисплея. LG говорит, что нынешняя модель может увеличить охват цветовой палитры более чем на 30 процентов, по сравнению с обычными ЖК дисплеями.<br /><br />Компания отмечает, что используемые для квантовых точек материалы не содержат кадмия и других токсичных, тяжелых металлов.
