Первый такой прототип был показан на CES 2014, а на нынешней выставке будет демонстрироваться уже готовящийся к продажам массовый образец.<br /><br />Если вы нажмете кнопку на пульте дистанционного управления – небольшой сервопривод позади экрана вступает в действие, смещая края экрана, пока он не примет знакомую изогнутую форму. После повторного нажатия на эту кнопку процесс выполняется в обратном направлении, пока экран не примет плоский вид, как у обычного HDTV.<br /><br />Этот огромный 85-дюймовый телевизор с разрешением 4K выполнен на основе изгибаемой ЖК панели с источниками LED подсветки. В изогнутом состоянии радиус изгиба экрана такой же, как у сегодняшних телевизоров Samsung с фиксированной кривизной экрана.<br /><br />О массовой востребованности подобной новинки говорить трудно, как и вообще о реальных перспективах самоокупаемости такого производства. Тем не менее, когда нажимаешь на кнопку, чтобы изогнуть экран, сможешь почувствовать себя повелителем телеэкрана и даже ощутить прилив сил и самоуважения.<br /><br />Сегодня корейские компании надеются привить моду на искривленный телеэкран. И в этом отношении модель с изгибающимся экраном может быть удачной маркетинговой инициативой. О стоимости этой модели мы узнаем чуть позднее.
