Начиная с 2015 года LG начнет производить изгибаемые OLED телевизоры и надеется также начать поставки таких OLED дисплеев для планшетов. Вместо стекла, которое сегодня широко используется в современных ЖК и OLED дисплеях, LG стремится использовать при производстве OLED панелей пластмассы. <br />В настоящее время OLED панель состоит из органических светодиодов, размещенных между стеклянной лицевой панелью и подложкой из стекла. В случае пластиковых OLED панелей, оба стекла будут заменены на гибкие пластиковые пленки.
