Его замечания были сделаны в Корее, в Международном выставочном центре 14 октября на Display Business Forum 2014.<br /><br />В LG Display измерили количество синего света на расстоянии 210 см от экранов телевизоров, 60 мм от мониторов и 30 см от смартфонов. Телевизоры работали  в стандартном режиме, марки и размеры экрана не уточнялись. Телевизоры крупнее и, следовательно, больше количество излучаемого  синего света. В результате, некоторые отмечают, что показатель излучения для синего света может стать неожиданным препятствием в индустрии дисплеев.<br /><br />Синий свет расположен в видимой части электромагнитного спектра, с длиной волны от 380 нм до 550 нм. Широко признано, чтобы он может вызвать дискомфорт глаз и повредить сетчатку. Статья о синем свете была опубликована Гарвардской медицинской школой в мае 2012 года. В ней отмечается: "Исследования показывают, что воздействие синего света в ночное время может внести свой вклад в рак, диабет, болезни сердца и ожирение, в дополнение к бессоннице".<br /><br />"В частности, сетчатка детских глаз наиболее уязвима и может быть повреждена от воздействия синего света в течение нескольких часов", сообщал Huffington Post в июле. Синий свет может также привести к потери до 80 процентов зрительных клеток, так как он резко увеличивает количество кислородных радикалов в глазах.<br /><br />В мире растут споры относительно того, является ли излучаемый электронными устройствами синий свет вредным для человеческого организма, а новые исследования свойств синего света, скорее всего, лишь повышают напряженность дискуссий.
