Компания c демонстрировал на выставке новую систему воспроизведения передаваемых по каналам связи цифровых сигналов, сжатых с использованием эффективного кодека HEVC. Всю систему  Panasonic теперь реализовал в одной микросхеме. Кроме воспроизведения цифрового видео с поддержкой основного 10 профиля стандарта HEVC и  контента, защищенного от копирования в соответствии со стандартом HDCP 2.2, однокристальная система ProXStream повышает до 4К видео в более низком разрешении. <br /><br />10-й профиль стандарта HEVC обеспечивает кодирование цвета с разрядностью от 8 бит до 10 бит (глубина цвета) в цветовом формате 4:2:0. 10-битный цвет обеспечивает до 1024 оттенков цвета (в общей сложности 1,07 млрд. оттенков цвета). Большая глубина цвета обеспечивает более плавные градации (переходы между оттенками цвета на экране), что устраняет проблему, известную как цветовые полосы.<br /><br />Panasonic также представил компактный гигабитный модуль беспроводной связи WiGig, с возможностью передачи за 3-4 секунды содержимого диска CD.<br /><br />Кроме того, Panasonic продемонстрировал 4K HEVC систему  видео авторинга (создания домашнего видео), разработанную в сотрудничестве с DivX.<br />
