Но LG не собирается использовать свои OLED панели исключительно для фирменной продукции. Компания заинтересована в популяризации OLED технологии с тем, чтобы OLED телевизоры занимали основную часть магазинных полок. Компания уже поставляет OLED панели таким китайским производителям, как Skyworth, Changhong и Konka. По слухам, Panasonic и Sony также заинтересованы в покупке OLED панелей  LG Display. С другой стороны, партнерство с Samsung очень маловероятно.<br /> <br />"OLED телевизоры завоюют мир быстрее, чем телевизоры с электронно-лучевыми трубками (ЭЛТ) или жидкокристаллические дисплеи (ЖК LED)," сказал исполнительный директор Хан Санг-бом.<br /><br />LG в настоящее время строит новый завод восьмого поколения для производства OLED панелей, который начнет работать со второй половины 2014 года. Первоначально планировался выпуск 26 000 подложек в месяц, но этот показатель был увеличен до 34 000. Из каждой подложки LG может вырезать шесть панелей для 55-дюймовых OLED телевизоров. <br /><br />LG также рассматривает возможность установки производственных линий для малых OLED панелей, используемых в смартфонах и других носимых устройствах. iWatch от Apple будет, по слухам, использовать OLED панель от LG.
